Chris Wilson - The Master Plan: My Journey from Life in Prison to a Life of Purpose — at Politics and Prose at The Wharf

Upcoming Event
Tuesday, February 12, 2019 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm

Wilson’s inspiring memoir begins where too many life stories end: at age eighteen he was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole. Once locked up, Wilson decided to use the time productively. He made an ongoing to-do list—his Master Plan—and set to work reading, learning languages, working out, and drawing up business plans. By his mid-thirties he had the confidence to successfully petition a judge to reduce his sentence. Wilson, who grew up in D.C., now lives in Baltimore where he’s become the social entrepreneur he dreamed of being. His ventures include the Barclay Investment Corporation, which works with local social service providers to help the unemployed; the House of DaVinci, a high-end furniture restoration and design company; and Master Plan Productions, a social impact content development company.
