Best-selling historical romance writer Carla Woods lives in a Gothic mansion and enjoys playing dangerous mind games with her secretaries. One dark and stormy night, a mysterious, dark, and handsome man shows up at her door. Could this simply be payback from a disgruntled employee, or could it's destiny? A twisting, turning comedy-thriller, similar in style to Deathtrap and Sleuth, but with two very intelligent and charismatic female combatants - and one devastatingly handsome man.
Caroline Smith has enjoyed a successful 35-year career in professional theatre as a performer, choreographer, director and playwright. She worked at almost every theatre in Canada between Charlottetown and Victoria, including the Shaw Festival and the Canadian Opera Company, before moving to Stirling in 1996 to form the Stirling Festival Theatre in Stirling, Ontario. Under Caroline’s leadership as Artistic and Managing Director, the Stirling Festival won three Lieutenant Governor's Awards and numerous business achievement awards. Caroline was also presented with an honorary Arts degree from Loyalist College in 2001. She is also a published playwright, with 12 Panto scripts, numerous revues, children's plays and one full-length musical, Blackbeard's Ghost, all successfully produced. Caroline's play The Kitchen Witches was the winner of the 2005 Samuel French Best Canadian Play Award, and her Panto scripts are currently being produced across Ontario by Drayton Entertainment. In 2009, Caroline formed her new company Moonpath Productions, which creates professional theatre events at Belleville's celebrated Empire Theatre. She is currently a Guest Director at the Toronto Film School, and dramaturge for the Gaslight Theatre Play Competition in Collingwood, Ontario.
