In its two previous editions, this work has proven to be an indispensable guide for students and scholars of Hispanic literature and linguistics. It is extremely useful for courses in bibliography and research methods, and librarians have found it a valuable reference tool for identifying the essential books and scholarly journals in its field. This edition has been considerably expanded, updated, and revised. Cuban literature in the United States joins Chicano literature in the new chapter entitled "Hispanic Literature in the United States." The new selected list of 107 scholarly journals includes 25 now appearing for the first time. Approximately 40% of the entries are new, and many of the retained items have been revised. Author and title indexes.
