The author is a sound engineer who works for cinema industry. Additionally he teaches Pro Tools in Masters programmes at various universities, as well as in seminars at private institutions in Italy and Switzerland; he is also a frequent contributor to some technical magazines. He has been a Digidesign Beta Tester for many years. He wrote also "Elementi di Cinematografia Sonora", with Fabio Felici and Gilberto Martinelli in 2006.
