A heart full of rainwater: Collected Poems Vol. I (Paperback)
I shared a bed with a girl friend of mine, to avoid driving drunk. Something more indelible than sex happened. Watching her sleep in the morning, I understood the purpose of my Uncle Pete's funeral wake. We just want the comfort of believing the dead are at peace, at rest.Following the unexpected death of my uncle, and break-up with a long-term girlfriend, I began writing daily. This volume covers the experience above, and others like: watching "The Little Drummer Boy" with my dad and wondering how many of the boys from the choir were molested by priests, befriending the promiscuous anarcho-punk girl from 8th grade, and being the only person to question Jesus' divinity in my family. My life, insights, and some humor to help ease the burden. peace and love, - Josh.
