las vegas your way- the 4th Edition: All About Downtown, the Vegas Strip, and Vegas Attractions (Paperback)
Las Vegas Find out why I believe Vegas is the entertainment capital of North America. I've vacationed there over 40 times, and I still get excited when I just say the name. Now I want you to experience those same feelings when you visit Las Vegas. I'll share my knowledge of the best shows and tours, plus the dining and attractions that it offers. I've taken the best parts of the previous editions, and added information about the new attractions and changes that have occurred in Vegas. Then I explain the differences between Downtown, the Strip, and the Off-Strip Hotels and why Downtown has become so popular. This is a travel guide you can reference on your vacation journey, whether your goal is non-stop adventure or relaxation. This book will create a pathway for your own unique Las Vegas experience. A gambling guide is also provided. For the beginner, the rules of the game of Blackjack, craps, and other table games are provided. Then I added a second chapter containing information on betting, and even table etiquette. While this book can't teach you how to beat the house, it does provide techniques that I've fine tuned to gamble responsibly. Make sure you check out my Top 10 FREE attractions, and my Top 10 Things to Do in Vegas. Perhaps you want to know the transportation options available in Vegas, or avoid the busiest times in Vegas? These questions and many more are answered in Las Vegas Your Way, the 4th Edition. So if you're planning your first trip to Vegas, or haven't been there recently, check out Las Vegas Your Way, the 4th Edition.
Lou Gifford loves photography and, is passionate about Las Vegas. He and his wife live in Muskegon, Mi., and raised their three children in Saginaw, Michigan, where he worked as an engineer. However; in 1985 something special happened, he won a trip for him and his wife to Las Vegas. He always wanted to go there and Vegas fulfilled his expectations. He loved it and couldn't wait to return. So to pay for additional trips, he also worked as a part time instructor at a local community college. With each trip he learned more about Vegas and enjoyed passing on this information to others. Then in 2002 he decided to write a book about a subject he loved, Las Vegas. Las Vegas Your Way was self-published in 2005, and sold at Harrah's Casino. Because Vegas is continually re-inventing itself, a second book was released in 2010. It highlighted the Off-Strip Hotels and the savings and benefits from staying at them. Now retired, he used this time to publish his newest book, Las Vegas Your Way, the 4th Edition. Having traveled to Vegas over 40 times, he shares his knowledge, and provides recommendations for the entertainment capital of North America.
