When the Great Forest is on fire, all the animals want to flee their homes. But the little hummingbird refuses to abandon her beloved forest and fights to save it. Her courage and resolve, even while her wings are singed and her eyes are filled with smoke, prompts the other animals to join the defense of the forest. Inspired by a fable from the Quechua people in Ecuador, this vividly illustrated, stirring tale teaches young children to never give up in the face of adversity.
