Beasts of Prey follows two teens Koffi and Ekon who have made a tentative alliance and struck a deal to enter the magical jungle. Together they must hunt the treacherous creature called Shetani who has threatened their city for one hundred years. Ayana Gray writes a Pan-African inspired fantasy full of twists, mythos, and magical quests. This series opener deftly builds its world with vivid imagery, romance, and mythology.

Ayana Gray is the debut author of Beasts of Prey. She is a lover of all things monster, mythos, and #MelaninMagic. Originally from Atlanta, she now lives in Florida, where she reads avidly, follows Formula One racing, and worries over her adopted baby black rhino, Apollo.

Namina Forna is a young adult novelist based in Los Angeles, and the New York Times and Indie bestselling author of the epic fantasy YA novel The Gilded Ones. Originally from Sierra Leone, West Africa, she moved to the US when she was nine and has been traveling back and forth ever since. Namina loves building fantastical worlds and telling stories with fierce female leads.
