P&P Live! National Book Award Finalist Amber McBride-Me (Moth)—with Ashley Woodfolk

Upcoming Event
Wednesday, October 6, 2021 - 7:00pm

Amber McBride’s debut novel in verse Me (Moth) invites readers on a surreal journey of self-discovery. Moth experiences survivor syndrome after losing her entire family in an accident. She is lonely and aching until she meets Sani, a boy sifting through his ancestral roots in search of healing. They join forces for a cross-country trip that finds them hunting ghosts, confessing secrets and falling in love. They release their pain as they write their ‘summer song’. Moth and Sani’s stories are told in exquisite verse that is worth a slow, lingering read. Me (Moth) is affecting and thought-provoking, ultimately culminating with a surprising twist.

Me (Moth) has been named a 2021 National Book Award Finalist in the Young People's Literature category.
