The Cutting Season - Attica Locke

Caren is the manager of the Belle Vie plantation in Louisiana when a woman’s dead body is found at her place of work. While trying to figure out who killed this woman, Caren finds out more about the plantation that binds her and her family to the land.  As you are drawn into the scenery and to the interesting lives of the characters in this mystery, the reader will wonder, is this the only murder to happen at Belle Vie or is there more to it?
